Welcome to the Alden District Library! At the Alden District Library we are able to offer friendly, small-town service and still give you access to world-wide resources. With our toll-free access to the reference department of the Mid-Michigan Library League and our Internet access, we can respond quickly to reference questions. The library has four public access computers and seven laptops with Internet access, and has an online catalog of its holdings. We also offer wi-fi for patrons with their own. The library can obtain almost any book you request, either by title or subject. The interlibrary loan program connects us to library collections across the United States. How to Get a Library Card To sign up for a library card, simply stop at our circulation desk and make your request. We will have you fill out a brief form. You can have your new library card that day. Your card is free if you live in Helena Township, have a library card from another Michigan library that participates in the Michicard program, or are a member of Alden District Library's Friends of the Library. If not, the non-district usage fee is $5 for individuals and $10 for families per year. If you have a Michicard you will still need to obtain an account with our library so that you will be identified by our circulation system.
